Sunset on the White Oak at River Oaks

Late yesterday evening I was up the White Oak near Stella showing a home.  After the clients had left we pulled into the community boat ramp area and watched the sun start going down.

River Oaks is one my favorite communities on the White Oak.  You feel very close to the water there.  It also seems like a friendly community.  There is usually someone out walking.  In contrast to many communities the homes at River Oaks are spread out and come in a wide variety of styles.

Some riverfront communities are so wooded that you do not feel like you are on the water. Other that some beautiful Live Oaks, River Oaks has just the right amount of trees.

Why I Love Cannonsgate on Bogue Sound

Cannonsgate on Bogue Sound, a beautiful gated community which is located right on the Intracoastal Waterway is a unique place to live. It has a 75 slip marina, gorgeous Charleston style clubhouse, walking trails, pool, tennis courts, putting green, natural areas, lakes, and a community postal center. For the boating enthusiast, it is a most desirable place to live. One can go out of the marina and travel by boat up and down the Eastern coastline! The grounds are immaculately groomed, and the views of Bogue Sound are exquisite, especially at sunrise and sunset.  read more »

I love River Reach neighborhood in Swansboro. It has a quiet neighborly feel to it and has a convenient water access right on the White Oak River. It is about five to ten minutes away from downtown Swansboro by bike. Swansboro has many events through the year like the Seafood Festival “my favorite”, Mackerel Tournament, and many others. Swansboro has great fishing, beaches, kayaking and parks nearby.  read more »
