Summer weather continues on the Crystal Coast. We got a very good dose of rain on Monday. It was the first rainy day that I can remember for a while.
We got about 1.33 inches of rain in Bluewater Cove. That is over three inches in the last couple of weeks.
The rain started just about the time the sprinklers for my irrigation system came on at 5:45 AM. The rain hitting on the side of the house caused me to sit straight up, pull some shorts on, and run outside to shut off my sprinklers.
It was a good rain and certainly took care of watering the yard. This morning we had some morning fog, but things burned off pretty quickly. It was a typical summer day with not a lot of wind.
If I had not been stuck working in the office, I would likely have been out fishing. There will be other days.
This evening if looked like we were going to have a nice sunset so I dropped my boat in the water and went to capture the picture. It was a nice picture, but it would have been even nicer a few minutes earlier.
There is always tomorrow.
