A Week of Great Beach Weather

Sometimes you just cannot take the time to sit in front of a computer and write.  The weather is too perfect.  This past week was just such a week.

While we saw some hot temperatures, those toasty temperatures made the ocean water feel just about right.  We were certainly not the only people who figured this out.

Some of the beach parking areas were as full as they have been all summer.

Yesterday we sneaked in one last trip to the beach before the weather change.

We made our way over to the Western Regional Beach yesterday afternoon.  It was a hot day, and I made the mistake of leaving my sandals in the truck.  I had to do a little dancing across the hot board walk and well heated sand.

Our trip was to take our granddaughter back for her second trip to the beach.  We had enjoyed taking her the day before and figured that she might really get into it on a second trip.

We were right.  She decided that it was okay to run straight for the water.  It is a good thing that babies who have just turned one cannot run very fast in the sand.

Those two days with our granddaughter at the beach were just the kind of memories we wanted to make when we bought our home on the Crystal Coast three years ago.

I think the people around us on the beach enjoyed watching our granddaughter almost as much as we did.  Figuring out waves, water, and sand is a great challenge for someone who has just turned one, but our super baby did just fine.

We will be enjoying the pictures of her visits to the beach for a long time.  I am glad we had near perfect beach weather.  Working around a baby's nap schedule and the thunderstorms that are in the forecast for the next few days is a lot more challenging.
