The 2009 Beaufort Wine and Food Weekend, April 22-26, offers festivalgoers a weekend of food, wine and art. The five day festival benefits Beaufort Historical Association, Friends of the NC Maritime Museum, and Carteret Community College of Culinary School. Oyster Roast and Pig Out

Come to the 30th annual all you can eat Oyster Roast and Pig Out held at the Swansboro Civic Center March 21 from 5-8pm. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Children 15 and younger are $20. Tickets are available at Mills and Thomas Furniture, Century 21 Waterway Realty, The Rotary Civic Center and Eastern Mortgage in Emerald Isle. Roasted pig, fried fish, clam chowder, hot dogs, hushpuppies, condiments and a variety of beverages are available. The Revelers, a popular music variety band, will be there. The Montessori Children's School 2nd Annual Jazz Benefit Concert entitled "Night Down in Dixie" will be held March 7 starting at 6pm at the Swansboro Rotary Club & Civic Center. Food will be provided by local restaurants such as Your Way Cafe, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Trattoria, Courthouse Caffe, Old Siam, Chowdaheads and many more. Wine will be from Biltmore Estates. St. Patrick's Day Festival

The St. Patrick's Day Festival will be held March 14 at Emerald Plantation Shopping Center on Emerald Isle from 9am to 5pm. There will be all kinds of arts and craft vendors as well as food. Also to be held are concerts and an 8k race. For info call 252-354-6350.

Cape Carteret Fifty Years Festival

A full day of family fun and entertainment is being planned for Cape Carteret's 50th anniversary festival, which will feature children's activities, three bands and arts and crafts vendors on June 6.
